Handbook Highlight- Visitors: Unauthorized and Menacing

VISITORS - UNAUTHORIZED & MENACING

1. Strangers loitering in the proximity of or on the campus should be reported immediately to the administration office.  If such persons are in an auto, obtain the license number. Students are not permitted to bring visitors to school.  
2. Action to be taken in the case of a menacing visitor: Remain calm.
3. Attempt to contact office or another teacher. 
4. Keep students in seats and as calm as possible. 
5. If possible, talk to intruder in a calm manner. 
6. If possible, try to convince intruder to leave classroom. 
7. If intruder leaves classroom, contact office immediately. 
8. If intruder remains, try to persuade intruder to let students leave and go to the office.
9. Don't try to be a hero/heroine.
