- UDL: Universal Design for Learning - What it is: UDL looks at removing barriers to learning and increasing access to curriculum. 3 Primary Principles: provide multiple means of representation (the WHAT of learning), provide multiple means of expression (the HOW of learning) and provide multiple means of engagement (the WHY of learning).
