All materials, supplies and equipment are the property of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School. They are to be used only for the instruction of students in this school. The use of supplies and equipment for private purposes is contrary to policy and law. School equipment is not to be taken from school premises unless arrangements are made in advance.
Care and Maintenance of Instructional Material
All members of the school community are responsible for the care and maintenance of instructional materials. Students will be assessed for loss or damage of materials in accordance with the schedule found in the district catalogue of basic and supplementary instructional material. Book covers must be on all textbooks. Teachers are responsible for the materials placed in their charge.
For control and insurance purposes, the inventory of furniture and equipment is made on a room basis. Consequently, no furniture and/or equipment should be moved except with the knowledge of the administrator in charge of facilities.
Staff members using personal property in class are encouraged to fill out the district form titled Request for Temporary Use of Personal Property on School Premises. Personal property will be insured for theft or damage only if this form is completed and on file. Pick up form from the finance clerk.
