Essential Info: Week of 12/3

·       Releasing Students from Class- Please issue students a hall pass if you are sending them to the bathroom, front office, counseling office, attendance office, College & Career Center, etc. This lets us know you gave them permission to be out of class. Without a pass, campus supervisors will escort the student back to class.
·       PBIS Strategies - Here’s the LINK to the shared folder with the strategies shared on 11/26.
·       School Leadership Team 12/4  (AKA Dep’t Coordinators and more). 3 pm Rm. 703
·       Hour of Code Week 12/3-12/6: Here is a curated resource containing Hour of Code links.
·       Monitoring for Redesignated Students-  If you have Redesignated Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) students in your class, you will be receiving an email on November 27 notifying you that you have monitoring forms to fill out. Forms are due on December 12, 2018.  As a new feature, you will now be able to use e-signatures on the monitoring forms. If you need help, please refer to the Ellevation Quickstart Guide HERE or contact Blanca Gibbons or Jane Roh.
·       VHS Adopt-a-Family- If you click this link, you will find a list of all of the family member's, their wish lists, and sizes.  We are hoping to get 5 presents per child and two gifts for each parent.  If you are interested in helping out, please reply to Sam Kuchwara directly, and tell her which gifts you would like to purchase.  She will then add your name to the spreadsheet, so we can be sure all needs are met.  If you cannot go shopping and would still like to help, I will be collecting cash donations, and I will shop for anything that has not been covered.  You can send the money to me with a trustworthy student, or I can pick it up from you during 2, 3, or 4th period.  We need to have all gifts wrapped and delivered to the APLE office by December 11th.
·       Join PTSA! Membership is $15. You are encouraged to join online at this LINK (there is a $1 processing fee) or if you prefer to pay by check or cash, membership envelopes have been placed in your mailboxes.

·       Teacher Sound Byte- here’s this week’s Secondary Weekly Update.
